Yin and Yang is a concept that comes from ancient Taoist philosophy that focuses on the harmony between opposing forces.

 

Yin energy is calm, still, inward, quiet.

Yang energy is energetic, warm, loud.

 

In our lives, we want our yin and yang energy to be in balance (or harmony). Many of us spend a lot more time in Yang energy. For example, hectic schedules, rushing from activity to activity (or meeting to meeting), always surrounded by "noise" from our environment, social media etc.

 

Yin yoga helps us carve out space to spend a little more time finds balance between our energies.

What will I need for each class?

  • a yoga mat

  • a blanket

  • a yoga block (or 2) if you have them (a stack of books will also work)

  • a yoga bolster or body pillow

Sunday evening yin yoga is the perfect way to set the tone for the week ahead. 

8:30 - 9:30 pm NL time

8:00 - 9:00 pm Atlantic time
