The Energy Answer: Interview With Jessica Cox

Updated: Mar 26, 2022

The Energy Answer with Alison Butler is an interview series where we explore mental & physical well being and tools we can use to reduce stress and overwhelm.

Welcome back to our second episode of The Energy Answer.

Today I chat with Jessica Cox - Confidence and Success Coach about how important it is to show up imperfectly - I believe this is such an importance message for those of us working on our wellness and mental well being. Life is not perfect. We have to embrace where we are right now and keep moving forward!

In our conversation, we talk about:

  1. Just going for it - If we want to feel confidence in our lives, we have to take action. The confidence is built, it doesn't just arrive.

  2. It's ok to not be perfect and do things just for joy.

  3. How we talk to ourselves makes all the difference - this can take work, practice and being aware when we are speaking to ourselves critically.

  4. You can't create lasting change without being kind to yourself.

  5. Staying consistent with your goals (whether that be something career related, wellness related or personal) means showing up tomorrow even if today didn't work out.

  6. The importance of having a plan to be intentional toward what we are working on.

  7. Are you making yourself a priority in your own life?

  8. Don't tell yourself "I don't have time", instead say "how can I make time?" to be the person that I want to be.

  9. Ask for help if you feel stuck.
